The SAF x ASAP(Art South Asia Project) Curatorial Research Fellowship was a prestigious initiative supporting emerging UK-based South Asian diaspora curators, offering mentorship and exhibition opportunities to amplify diasporic narratives and foster cultural exchange.

In 2023, Art Murmur has partnered with Saskia Fernando Gallery to present the summer series of #SupportLocalArt, a talks initiative begun by the Sri Lankan based gallery in the summer of 2021 to promote the arts and culture of Sri Lanka. This is the second dedicated summer series of Art Murmur hosted by ASAP(Art South Asia Project) and the fourth edition of #SupportLocalArt by Saskia Fernando Gallery. With this talk series, both organizations came together to celebrate the Sri Lankan contemporary art ecosystem. The talks considered how Sri Lankan art and culture can be a bigger part of the South Asian art historical and contemporary art narratives and seek to introduce certain Sri Lankan art and artist practices to the ASAP audience.

KALĀ , is a program by Art South Asia Project (ASAP) that took place from January 28 to February 12, 2024, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, as an annual platform showcasing South Asian modern and contemporary art from local and diasporic communities. The initiative sought to sustainably develop Sri Lanka’s art ecosystem while fostering connections with the broader South Asian region through curated talks, workshops, and dialogues celebrating Sri Lankan art and encouraging regional collaboration.
